About Parks & Recipes
Our journey began with a simple belief that the knowledge and expertise accumulated within Parks and Recreation departments are treasures meant to be shared.
We understand the unique challenges that local government professionals face (like pickleball players not following the rules of shared use courts) because we've been in your shoes.
Our story
Started in 2013
With over a decade of experience working within the field, we've worn many hats. From managing state-of-the-art community centers to rewriting policy and presenting to council.
We've witnessed firsthand the incredible impact that Parks and Recreation departments can have on the lives of community members.
Why we're different
People Helping People
With our curated library of resources, Parks & Recipes was built for the modern parks and recreation professional.
We understand the demands of your role. The endless tasks, the tight budgets, and the constant shuffling of staff.
Welcome to a place where your time is valued and your communities success is our priority.
Mission Driven
We donate 1% of all revenue to support the fee assistance or scholarship programs
of our users. This initiative is community-guided, with our subscribers casting votes
to determine the distribution of these funds.
